POLICE are investigating the discovery of 10 rounds of .32 ammunition concealed in a concrete block during an intelligence-led operation at Pouderoyen Tarmac, West Bank Demerara, on Monday night.
The ammunition was found at about 21:00h when police ranks searched an unoccupied wooden stall at the tarmac.
According to police, the rounds were concealed inside a concrete block behind an old refrigerator.
The ammunition was removed and taken to the Vreed-en-Hoop Police Station, where it was lodged.
No arrest was made in connection with the discovery.
Investigations are continuing as police work to determine who concealed the ammunition at the location and the circumstances surrounding its possession.
