EMPLOYEES of Sterling Products Limited are set to receive wage and salary increases of 8 per cent for 2026 and 8.5 per cent for 2027 under new collective agreements signed with the Clerical and Commercial Workers’ Union.
The agreements were signed in September 2026 at the Ministry of Labour and Manpower Planning and take effect from January 1, 2026.
They cover the company’s fortnightly, monthly and supervisory employees and establish revised minimum wages for eligible workers.
Under the agreements, the minimum wage will be $54,000 fortnightly for applicable fortnightly-paid employees, while the minimum monthly wage will be $117,000. Eligible supervisory employees will have a minimum monthly salary of $172,080.
Sales Supervisors are excluded from the supervisory minimum salary provision because their remuneration is based partly on commissions and incentives.
The agreements also provide for employee performance evaluations at least once annually, with half-yearly assessments where applicable.
Additional adjustments may also be made where changes in private-sector minimum wages and salaries require corresponding revisions under the agreements.
The latest arrangements build on the longstanding industrial relations relationship between Sterling Products and the Clerical and Commercial Workers’ Union, which dates back to 1975.
The agreements formalise the latest improvements in wages, salaries and employment conditions for employees covered by the collective bargaining arrangements.
