On September 25, 2026, Hugh Hilton Todd, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation of Guyana engaged in a bilateral meeting with Mohamad Hasan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.
The ministers discussed areas for further co-operation between their countries, including in education, agriculture, and oil and gas.
