PRESIDENT Dr Irfaan Ali has extended condolences to the Al Maktoum family following the death of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
In a message to the bereaved family, President Ali conveyed, on behalf of the Government and people of the Co-operative Republic of Guyana, as well as in his own name, his “deepest condolences” to the family.
“At this time of profound sorrow, our thoughts and prayers are with Your Highness and the bereaved family,” President Ali stated.
He also prayed for Sheikh Ahmed’s eternal peace and asked that strength and solace be granted to the deceased’s family during their period of mourning.
“May Allah grant Sheikh Ahmed eternal peace and grant Your Highness and your family strength and solace,” the President said.
President Ali gave assurances of his deepest sympathy and highest consideration to the bereaved family.
Dubai was struck by grief on Monday morning after the passing of Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum at the age of 76.
