THE fourth edition of the Lotto/Let’sBet T10 tournament has secured a boost off the field, with The New Doctor’s Clinic coming on board as the official medical partner.
The partnership ensures that highly skilled physiotherapists will be stationed at every match, underscoring the tournament’s commitment to player health and safety as the high-stakes tapeball action heats up across Guyana.
Proprietor of The New Doctor’s Clinic, Satyendra Khemraj, officially sealed the agreement by handing over the sponsorship to key organiser and lead statistician Ronaldo McGarrell of the tournament.
Expressing gratitude for the partnership, John Ramsingh of OGT10 emphasised that athlete welfare remains a top priority for the organisers, noting that having professional medical support on standby throughout the campaign aligns with the tournament’s growing stature.
Reaffirming the clinic’s long-standing backing of regional athletics, Khemraj highlighted the institution’s ongoing devotion to supporting local sport.
“We have a proud history of standing behind sports in Guyana, and ensuring our athletes are properly cared for while performing at their peak is a duty we take very seriously,” Khemraj said during the presentation.
“Tapeball cricket at this level is fast, intense, and physically demanding. We are delighted to partner with FL Sport to safeguard the players’ well-being and contribute to the continued success of the Lotto/Let’sBet T10.”
In the field, the fourth edition of the tournament has already produced compelling action, with three regional champions officially crowned.
Grillmaster Sip N Play All-Stars secured the Berbice zone title, Mahdia – Movements Family dominated the East Bank/West Demerara zone, and Lusignan Bulls DTP II claimed victory in Essequibo.
The tournament now turns its attention to the Georgetown/East Coast Demerara Zone, slated to run across two weekends on September 26–27 and October 3–4, with the zonal finals taking place at the Enmore Community Centre Ground.
Once the final zonal winner is determined, the action shifts to Essequibo for the grand finale.
All roads lead to the Anna Regina National Stadium on Sunday, October 11, where the nation’s premier tapeball outfits will collide for top cash prizes of $2 million, $1 million, and $500,000.
