THE National Assembly was on Friday notified that the sum of US$761.7 million, representing profit oil for the first quarter of the year and royalty for 2025, was deposited into Guyana’s Natural Resources Fund (NRF).
Sums totalling US$761,716,332.92 were deposited as a result of the lifts from the Liza Unity, Liza Destiny, One Guyana and Prosperity Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessels offshore Guyana.
In addition to this, US$110,893,513.30 was deposited into the NRF as royalty payment related to the 2025 fourth quarter production.
A total of 11 deposits were made between the period December 30, 2025 and March 31, 2026, with the first deposit being made on January 6, 2026, to the NRF. Ten of the deposits accounted for profit oil, while one was for royalty payment.
In keeping with the provisions of Section 33(2) of the NRF Act, the Ministry of Finance laid out the details of the deposits before the National Assembly on Friday.
The profit-oil receipts are from Guyana’s lifts of crude oil earned as profit, while the royalties are paid on a quarterly basis.
In 2025, Guyana received some US$2.1 billion in profit oil revenues supported by a total of 32 Government crude lifts from the country’s four producing Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessels.
There were 260 lifts of crude oil overall from the Liza Destiny, Liza Unity, Prosperity and One Guyana FPSOs during 2025, inclusive of a combined inaugural lift from the One Guyana vessel.
Of that total, the Government of Guyana executed 32 lifts, comprising six from the Liza Destiny, 11 from the Liza Unity, 12 from Prosperity and three from One Guyana.
The US$2.1 billion in profit oil comprised US$400.1 million from Liza Destiny, US$767.7 million from Liza Unity, US$824.4 million from Prosperity and US$133.6 million from One Guyana.
