PRESIDENT Dr Irfaan Ali, on Wednesday, held bilateral discussions with the US Under Secretary of State for Economic Affairs, Jacob Helberg, at State House.
The meeting, which continued the strengthening of Guyana–US relations, focused on energy, economic development, Guyana’s economic development zone, and investment opportunities in energy security and logistics, according to President Ali in a post on his official Facebook page.
Under Secretary Helberg’s delegation included the United States Ambassador to Guyana, Nicole Theriot.
President Ali was joined by Ministers Dr Ashni Singh, Hugh Todd, Vickram Bharrat and Zulfikar Ally, along with Foreign Secretary Robert Persaud and Director of the National Intelligence and Security Agency, Colonel Sheldon Howell
