POLICE are investigating a fatal shooting at Mercy Wing, Plum Park, Sophia, which claimed the life of a 27-year-old taxi driver.
Dead is Xavier Fraser of Plum Park, who was shot around 22:36 hours on Sunday, December 21, 2025. Preliminary investigations indicate that Fraser was at the location when he sustained gunshot injuries under circumstances that remain unclear.
Fraser was rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation, where he was pronounced dead on arrival by a doctor on duty.
Police said a 19-year-old male, also of Plum Park, who sustained gunshot injuries during the incident, was admitted to the hospital and is currently listed in stable condition.
Fraser’s body is at the hospital mortuary awaiting a post-mortem examination.
Investigators are reviewing CCTV footage from the area as efforts continue to determine the motive and identify those responsible for the shooting.
