Minister of Local Government and Regional Development, Priya Manickchand, on Friday visited Bare Root on the East
Coast of Demerara to listen to the concerns of residents and identify a suitable location for the construction of a new
community centre. The village has never had such a facility and once established, it is expected to serve as a hub for
skills training, educational programmes, recreational activities, community meetings, and youth development initiatives.
