Across the East Bank of Demerara, residents are welcoming #TheBigLift initiative, seizing the opportunity to properly dispose of bulky waste and help keep their communities clean. The exercise, spearheaded by the Ministry of Local Government and Regional Development, aims to remove large, unwanted items such as old furniture, appliances, and construction debris that often contribute to unsanitary surroundings.
