Batting first, Malteenoes compiled a competitive total of 192 all out in 39.1 overs, anchored by a classy innings from Joshua Budhram, who top-scored with a fluent 41 from 55 balls, striking four boundaries.

His composed knock held the innings together as wickets fell intermittently around him.

The Malteenoes bowlers were relentless, led by a fiery spell from Deshawn Ramnauth, who returned remarkable figures of 4 wickets for 12 runs from 2.1 overs, completely dismantling the opposition’s middle order.
Captain Kyle Gibson provided early breakthroughs with 2 for 24, while Akeem Persaud, Tyler Nedd, and Keon Bias also chipped in with a wicket apiece as Everest’s batting lineup collapsed under mounting pressure.
For Everest, Anek Hemnarine top-scored with 14, but none of the others managed to build partnerships to threaten the target.
Malteenoes’ commanding win reflected excellent teamwork and discipline, with Budhram’s elegant stroke play and Ramnauth’s incisive bowling standing out as the highlights of the match. The victory keeps the club in strong contention for top honours in this year’s Under-17 competition.
