POLICE of Regional Division #10 are investigating the death of 69-year-old Henry Gardener, a handyman who resided at the Toucan Mall, located at Toucan Drive, Amelia’s Ward, Linden.
According to press release, the man’s body was found in the pool of the said mall on Tuesday.
“Gardener reportedly drowned sometime between 20:00 hours on Monday, May 5th, 2025, and 07:20 hours on Tuesday, May 6th, 2025.
“Preliminary inquiries revealed that about 20:00 hours on May 5th, 2025, the deceased along with the 67-year-old owner of the mall conducted routine checks around the premises. The owner claimed he left the deceased at the pool area.
“On May 6th, 2025, at about 07:20hrs, the body of Gardner was discovered in the pool. And the matter was reported to the police,” the release said.
The man’s body was removed from the pool and examined, the release said, adding that no marks of violence were seen on the exposed parts.
The body of the deceased is presently at the Pensioner’s Funeral Home, awaiting a post-mortem examination.
Investigations are ongoing.
