Over 600 jobseekers connect with industry leaders

–at El Dorado Offshore’s largest career fair in Guyana

EL Dorado Offshore (EDO) successfully hosted its largest career fair to date at National Park, bringing together over 600 jobseekers eager to explore opportunities in the oil and gas sector.
According to a press release, the event provided attendees with preliminary interviews, networking opportunities with top employers, and valuable career advice from industry professionals.

Training institutions RelyOn and 3t EnerMech (ODITC) were present to guide jobseekers on skill development for offshore and onshore roles, while representatives from the Ministry of Labour were on hand to share insights on employment policies and career pathways in the sector.
Attendees also had the unique opportunity to engage with representatives from Noble, SBM, and Stena Drilling, gaining firsthand knowledge about how to position themselves for success in the energy industry.

The event highlighted the demand for skilled professionals in Guyana’s rapidly growing oil and gas sector and provided practical guidance on securing opportunities in the field.
“Today was about more than just job placements—it was about equipping jobseekers with the knowledge, connections, and confidence to take the next step in their careers,” said Mariam Baig-Yasmin, Human Resource Manager at El Dorado Offshore. “With industry leaders, training institutions, and

government representatives in one space, attendees walked away with real opportunities to build their future.”
Throughout the day, jobseekers participated in one-on-one conversations with recruiters, received resume and interview tips, and explored training programmes designed to enhance their qualifications for in-demand roles.
