THE Demerara Cricket Club (DCC), via a press release, has extended congratulations to Jonathan Van Lange, Jadon Campbell, and Jonathan Mentore on their recent selection for national duties.
Van Lange and Campbell were selected for the Under-17 team which competed in Trinidad and Tobago, while DCC’s Garvin Nedd was the head coach.
Mentore was selected on the National Under-15 squad for the Regional tournament in Grenada from August 18 -28.
Additionally, the DCC noted the significance of the selection of Van Lange to the national men’s Table Tennis team for the ongoing Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.
“Van Lange is one of our brightest prospects and a well-rounded individual with exemplary exploits in academics as well,” the release noted .
The Queenstown-based club, established in 1912, is known for producing some of the most prominent names in Guyana and West Indies cricket.
