Twenty-five-year-old businessman Lorenzo Nicholas Hendericks, of Charity Housing Scheme, Essequibo coast, lost his life after he lost control of his motor car in the wee hours of Monday morning. A teenager, who was the car’s other occupant, received injuries about his body.
Reports indicate that the accident occurred on the Devonshire Castle Public Road.
According to Police Headquarters, Hendericks was proceeding north with motor car PFF 8892 along the Devonshire Castle Public Road when he lost control while negotiating a turn. He ended up in a nearby trench located on the side of the road.

Information revealed that he was imbibing earlier at his girlfriend’s place. He subsequently left to go home. Persons around the community heard the impact and rushed to the driver’s assistance.
He received injuries about his body. He was pulled out of the car and rushed to the Suddie Public Hospital, succumbing to his injuries. His body was then transported to the Suddie Mortuary, awaiting a post-mortem examination.
When contact was made with his mother, she was too shocked to speak. Many people expressed sadness over the businessman’s passing, doing so on his Facebook page.
His friends described him as a very caring and helpful person.
