ROHAN Albert registered a net score of 68 to win the Banks/Smirnoff Vodka golf tournament which was held over the weekend at the Lusignan Golf Club.
The medal play format 18-hole competition had a total of 40 golfers competing.
In the end, it was the 29-year-old Albert, who surged to a gross score of 90, playing with a 22 handicap.
After a rough start, he was able to eliminate unnecessary errors to finish with a back nine of 42.
Of his four pars, three of them were scored in the back nine.
Meanwhile, Miguel Yunis, Videsh Persaud, George Bulkan and Kasim Khan recorded the second-best score of net 69, forcing the countback method to be used in determining the official positions.
Yunis finished second (gross 94), Persaud (gross 84) third and Bulkan (gross 83) fourth.
The prize for best gross score of the tournament was awarded to former 10-time Guyana Open champion Avinash Persaud who recorded a gross score of 73.
The nearest to the pin prize was won by Carlos Adams, while the longest drive was captured by Guillermo Escaraga.
