Dear Editor,
I AM delighted that we acknowledge Black History Month in February and observe Amerindian Heritage Month in September.

I feel that the largest ethnic group in Guyana, Indians, also deserves a month to celebrate its history and presence. I suggest that the month of May be declared Indian Heritage Month.

I encourage political, religious, cultural, civic and community groups to support this notion as soon as possible.
