GUYANA Defence Force (GDF) Captain Jashawn Norville has recently returned to Guyana following his successful completion of the Junior Command Course 165 at the Army War College in Mhow, India.
According to the GDF, the course was conducted over a four-month period — December 9, 2021 to March 9, 2022.
Captain Norville was among 497 officers from 10 countries who benefitted from the programme. The objective of the course, the GDF noted, is to train officers of all Arms and Services including selected officers from friendly foreign countries in the tactical employment of a rifle company/combat team as part of an infantry battalion/combat group in co-operation with air and other arms and services.

The programme exposed participants to 47 subject areas covering all aspects of warfare.
