IMRAN Khan, 57, a farmer of West Bank Demerara (WBD) was arrested, on Friday, for discharging a firearm in a public place, at about 22:15 hours, at Canal #2 West Bank Demerara.
According to police Headquarters, the farmer, who is a licensed firearm holder, was seen shooting off his 12-gauge shotgun.
He denied the allegation to the police, who, upon checking, discovered an empty shell on the property which is within 200 meters of the public space.
He was escorted to the police station and the firearm and spent shell were seized.
