BCB/Frank Denbow fast-bowling clinic off to successful start

THE three-day Berbice Cricket Board (BCB)/Dr Frank Denbow fast-bowling clinic got off to a blazing start yesterday at the Albion Community Centre with over 50 young fast bowlers in attendance.

The camp is being conducted by legendary West Indies fast bowler Sir Curtly Ambrose who arrived in Guyana on Thursday.
The camp is being held with assistance from several Berbice coaches.

BCB president Hilbert Foster, Sir Curtly, coach Nolan McKenzie and sponsor Dr. Frank Denbow spoke to the attentive players this morning.
President Foster urged them to take advantage of the opportunities being presented to them by the BCB. Sir Curtly Ambrose spoke on the importance of discipline.

The clinic started at 09:00hrs and concluded at 15:00hrs. The great fast bowler also took the time to speak to the youngsters on a wide range of topics.
England-based coach Nolan McKenzie also held a three-hour batting clinic with 12 junior female cricketers.
