THE Odyssey Sightseeing Tours will sponsor tomorrow’s three-flight 18-hole golf tournament at the nine-hole Lusignan Golf Club (LGC) on the East Coast of Demerara.

Participants will battle in the nine-and-under handicap category, the 10-18 handicap division and the 19-36 handicap flight from 12.30hrs via a shotgun start.

The best net score will win the top prize. There are also prizes for the second- and third-place overall finishers and the best net in each flight, best overall gross, nearest to the pin and longest drive.

At the official launch of the tournament yesterday in Georgetown, Public Relations Officer of the LGC, Anasha Ally, thanked the sponsor and expressed her hope for a good turnout and a successful tournament.

It was also announced that registration would close at midday today. Interested players can contact the Lusignan Golf Club on 220-5660.

All participants are also advised to contact the club’s manager on the day of the tournament to collect their scorecards, pay their tournament fees and proceed to their allocated tee boxes to begin play.
