Two arrested for $4.5 million ‘ganja’ find in Berbice

TWO Berbice men were arrested after 33 pounds of marijuana valued at $4.5 million was reportedly found in their possession.
A statement from the Customs Anti-Narcotics Unit (CANU), today, said the bust was made during an operation in No. 51 Village, Corentyne Berbice where CANU ranks intercepted a car which the two men, Michael Embrack, 37, and Randolph Job, 34, occupied. 
The males were arrested and were escorted to CANU Headquarters along with the suspected narcotics, which was tested and proven to be cannabis weighing a total of 15.104 kg (33.3 lb.) and having a street value of approximately $4,540,000.00,” the statement read. The investigation is ongoing.
