THE Essequibo Cricket Board (ECB) will be conducting trials for Under-15 cricketers from today at various venues across the cricketing areas in Essequibo.

Cricketers born on or after September 1, 2007, will be eligible to participate in these trials.

The match-ups are expected to display great competitiveness. Pomeroon will go against North Essequibo at the Anna Regina Multilateral School ground and Central will take on South Essequibo at the Reliance Sports Club ground.

Meanwhile, Wakenaam, Leguan, Bartica, and East Bank Essequibo will compete at the Tuschen cricket ground.

Talented players from these trials will be encamped, after which the final selection for the Under-15 team will be named to compete in the GCB inter-county tournament in Georgetown.

Encampment of the squad will be from February 11 to 13. 2022 at the Imam Bacchus cricket ground.
