A MIXED 12-member jury was on Thursday empanelled before Justice Simone Morris-Ramlall at the Demerara High Court for the trial of Travis Archer, called ‘Spin and Kill’, for the murder of Sophia resident, Jamal Munroe.
Archer pleaded not guilty to the indictment which read that on November 3 or 4, 2017, at ‘Black-and-White Bridge’, in ‘C’ Field, Sophia, East Coast Demerara, he murdered Munroe.
He is being represented by Attorney-at-Law Latchmie Rahamat, while the State’s case will be presented, when the trial commences on Monday, by Prosecutors Lisa Cave and Cicelia Corbin.
Munroe, 24, reportedly died while receiving medical attention at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) of injuries consistent with the gunshot wounds he sustained during an argument with Archer over a 32 year-old female shopkeeper of ‘D’ Field, Sophia.
