NEWLY elected vice-president of the Essequibo Cricket Board (ECB) and former Essequibo senior Inter-County captain, Elroy Stephney, was appointed as the new Chairman of senior selectors for the ECB following its Biennial General Meeting (BGM) which was held on Sunday, January 9 at the Imam Bacchus Resource Centre in Affiance.

Based on his appointment he will now sit on the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) national panel and will replace Autto Christiani.

Stephney brings a wealth of experience to the post. The ECB has since offered its congratulations for a successful tenure.
