Man fined $20,000 for noise nuisance 

SENIOR Magistrate Leron Daly, on Friday, fined an Albouystown resident $20,000 for continuously playing loud music.

Adam Blair appeared at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court and pleaded guilty to the charge of noise nuisance which stated that, on October 28, 2021, at James and Garnett Street, Albouystown, he made loud and continuous noise to the annoyance of Karen Steven, his neighbor.

According to the court prosecutor, on the day in question, Steven had approached Blair and pleaded with him to lower his loud music. However, he ignored her and continued playing his music.

The woman subsequently reported the matter to the police and Blair was arrested. His music system was seized and is currently lodged at the Ruimveldt Police Station.
