A 52-year-old Linden resident was, on Wednesday, further remanded to prison for wounding a vendor during an argument.

Colin James made his second court appearance before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan, at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.

Last week, he was charged for unlawful wounding. He pleaded not guilty to the charge and was remanded to prison.

During Wednesday’s hearing, the prosecutor told the court that the victim was released from the hospital and was said to be in a stable condition. It was also disclosed that the victim is a vendor, and, on the day in question, James went to make a purchase at her stall. While there, there was an argument during which he allegedly assaulted and wounded the woman.

Chief Magistrate McLennan further remanded James to prison until September 22.
