INDEPENDENCE Three-Stage cycling champion Briton John will look to build on the podium finishes he made last weekend during his stint in the U.S.

The ace Guyanese cyclist, who has been training and competing in the U.S. for the last two months, is eyeing the big upcoming races in New York and New Jersey.
“I have my eyes set on some of the big upcoming races, I feel I can do well.”

The ‘We Stand United’ cyclist is also contemplating spending the entire season in the U.S.
On Saturday, John was able to eclipse fellow Guyanese cyclist Jamual John at Prospect Park in the Brooklyn Marks Criterium Race.

The packed event had dozens of quality riders, but it was Briton John who surged to second place.
According to John, his increased training since travelling to the U.S. has helped him significantly.

Meanwhile, on Sunday, he finished third in the Lucarelli and Castaldi Branchbrook Spring Series.
John said he was able to increase his speed in the criterium battle towards the end in New Jersey.
Some 45 cyclists competed in that event.
