GUYANA’S Lennox Allen will face Aidos Yerbossynuly on September 12 for a shot at the World Boxing Association (WBA) interim Super Middleweight World Title.
The fight will take place in Yerbossynuly’s home country of Kazakhstan.
Yerbossynuly is the WBC Asian Boxing Council, WBA International and WBO Global Super Middleweight titles holder.
The 29-year-old is undefeated in 15 outings, with ten of those wins coming by Knockout (KO).
Allen, 36, is a former WBA Super Middleweight gold title-holder, having defeated Derrick Webster in 2019 via Unanimous Decision.
However, the Guyanese had vacated the title last year (2020) for a shot at the WBA Super Middleweight World Title against Cuban, David Morrell.
Allen would pick up his first defeat in professional boxing against Morrell after the judges unanimously scored the fight in his opposition’s favour.
In 24 fights, Allen has racked up an impressive 22 wins (15 by KO), one loss and a draw.
