MASSY Motors has relocated its branch at Land of Plenty to Sparta to ensure there is space to provide a wider range of dealership and distribution solutions to their customers in Region Two.
On Friday, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Rohit Coonjah, cut the ribbon to officially open the doors of the new location.
Coonjah, in his remarks, said the ribbon-cutting ceremony was yet another significant milestone in Massy Motors’ journey as the company has evolved from a single store into one which has multiple locations.

Staff of the Georgetown, Essequibo, and Berbice branches stand in front of the newly opened Sparta office.

He said the new location at Sparta is specially equipped to provide dealership solutions for their partners on the Essequibo Coast.
“This new location will have a suitable capacity to adequately represent all Massy Motors lines… such as Massy Ferguson, Nissan, Iveco and Power Master to recent additions [such as] Tractors – Farmtrac(Escorts), MLA forklifts, Mack trucks, Vehicles – Chrysler Group (Jeep), Batteries – Moura & Zetta and Shell Lubricants,” Coonjah said.
He also hinted that new additions to their line up will be announced soon.

“As we prepare to cut the symbolic ribbon to officially open this new location for Massy Motors, I will commit that our efforts will continue to have suitably equipped facilities and team to provide solutions for all of the dealership offerings,” he said.
Coonjah emphasised that the company looks forward to participating in activities that will contribute to the improvement of the Sparta community and surrounding areas.
He also mentioned that all of the staff members at the Essequibo location are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 while across all locations, 90% of the employees have been vaccinated.
Meanwhile, Location Manager, Dhanraj Singh, said the ceremony marks the official relocation of Massy Motors. He said that before Massy Motors came into being the words “AINLIM” and Massy Industries were known to Guyanese. He stated that Massy made entry into Region Two almost 27 years ago when its first location was opened at Henrietta. It was later moved to Land of Plenty, he said.

“This relocation was necessary. With the leadership and guidance we realised that we had to relocate to support our growing economy,” Singh said.
He said that the company recognised that there was a need for a new location and he later assured that customers will continue to benefit from the “Wow” experience.
Singh used the opportunity to thank all the customers for “readjusting” during the pandemic and for their continued support.
Also in attendance at the simple ceremony were executive team members from the Ruimveldt, New Amsterdam, Georgetown, and Essequibo branches.
