SOL Guyana launches ‘Drive Into Summer’ promotion

A ‘STAYCATION’ at the Arrow Point Nature Resort; a Marriott Hotel Bar and dinner voucher; MMG top-ups; RS53 RestoBar & Lounge dinners; grocery vouchers and fuel vouchers are among the many prizes to be won this year in SOL Guyana’s latest summer promotion.
“Drive Into Summer,” which will run for eight consecutive weeks, kicked off on Monday at the Shell Vlissengen Road and Lama Avenue service station, with a moderate gathering to witness the launch of the promotion.

‘Drive into Summer’ also contains a back-to-school aspect, in which persons can win tablets; uniform vouchers valued at $20,000; book vouchers valued at $20,000 and backpacks filled with school supplies.
“So we’re catering for all ages, all walks, and like I said, this is supposed to be very exciting,” Sales Executive of Shell Service Stations, Renée Armstrong-Joseph, said during her remarks at the launch.

“This promotion signals a chance for us to go back to the types of events that we would have had, or that we would have enjoyed, before the pandemic. So it is an exciting promotion for us… quite a few prizes are at stake, quite a few prizes are there for our customers to win, or have a chance at winning,” Earl Carribon, General Manager of SOL Guyana stated to the gathering.
He noted that while the promotion presents the opportunity for prizes to be won by customers, it also presents the SOL family with the opportunity to do something more important, which is giving back, and rewarding the loyalty of their customers.

“At the end of the day, we do what we do because of the customers who believe in the Shell brand, who believe in the Shell brand, who believe in the SOL brand, and who believe in the value proposition that we bring to them each and every day. And it is very important for us to recognise that,” he said.
Shell’s “Drive into Summer” promotion runs from July 12 to September 3, and drawings will be done every Friday until the promotion ends. Customers who spend $5,000 or more will receive a coupon to fill and submit for a chance to win one of the prizes.

SOL Guyana will also be hosting surprise “happy hours” at sites across the country, where customers can win groceries, branded items and fuel. Customers who are interested in the promotion can go to SOL Guyana’s facebook page for more details.
