JERMAINE O’Brian, who is accused of stabbing his estranged wife’s boyfriend, on Friday, appeared at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court and was placed on $25,000 bail by Magistrate Leron Daly. O’Brian denied that he, on February 5, 2021, at Middle Road, La Penitence, Georgetown, unlawfully and maliciously wounded Leon Lowe. According to the prosecution, O’Brian is the estranged husband of Lowe’s girlfriend. On the day the incident occurred, Lowe was at his girlfriend’s home when O’Brian allegedly armed himself with a knife and stormed into the house. In rage, he rushed towards Lowe and confronted him. Lowe, filled with fear, attempted to escape from him when he allegedly stabbed Lowe in his left side shoulder. The matter was reported and O’Brian was arrested and charged for the offence committed. Magistrate Leron Daly ordered that O’Brian be placed on $25,000 bail.
The matter was adjourned until August 3, 2021.
