Pomona man to be charged with bestiality

A 28-year-old taxi driver of Pomona Housing Scheme, in Region Two, is expected to be charged with bestiality after he was, allegedly, caught having sex with a cow.
Guyana Chronicle was informed that the man was released on $50,000 station bail on Monday afternoon. The matter was sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) and the man is expected to make his first appearance before an Essequibo magistrate next Wednesday.
According to reports, cattle farmers were in the Pomona Backdam, on Monday, when they observed the man having sex with a cow. The farmers subsequently made a report to the Aurora Police Station. Police ranks, who journeyed to the scene to investigate, reportedly caught him in the act. He was arrested and taken to the police station where he admitted that he had sex with one cow and four calves. He reportedly told detectives that he was advised by a doctor to have sex with animals to help cure him of his cancer.
