WILLIAM Walker emerged victorious in the Bank of Baroda Golf Tournament, which was held on Saturday at the Lusignan Golf Club. The 11-handicapper bested 20 other golfers over 18 holes (twice around the nine-hole club). He registered a gross score of 80 to finish with a net score of 69. Second place went to Maxim Mangra, who finished with a gross score of 86 and net 71.
Last week’s Colin Ming Memorial golf winner, Gavin Todd, finished third, but it took a countback to separate him from Mangra. Todd, with a handicap of 20, made a gross score of 91.
Fourth place went to Aasrodeen Shaw who grossed 84 to finish with net 72. Senior Minister within the Office of the President with Responsibility for Finance, Dr Ashni Singh; High Commission of India, Dr K.J. Srinivasa and the (Ag) Resident Representative of UNICEF for Guyana and Suriname, Mr Irfan Akhtar were at the venue.
