HOLI, the festival of colours, which is one of the most exciting festivals celebrated in Guyana, is here. It’s time to celebrate this vibrant festival with family and friends. While celebrating the festival with full fervor and enthusiasm, do not forget to stay safe.

Holi is a popular ancient Hindu festival, also known as the “Festival of Love”, the “Festival of Colours”, and the “Festival of Spring”. Holi, for many, is a festive day to meet others, enjoy and laugh, forget and forgive, and repair broken relationships. It also signifies the triumph of good over evil. It originated, and is predominantly celebrated in India, but it is also spread to other regions of Asia, and all parts of the world through the Diaspora from the Indian subcontinent.

Holi has something unique and charming about it; it drives more energy into our being, and reminds us that good will always conquer evil and emerge victoriously after every challenge.

The President, Mr. Manniram Prashad and the Directors of the Guyana Oil and Gas Energy Chamber (GOGEC) would like to extend to all Guyanese a Happy Holi, especially to all those who are involved in the Oil and Gas Sector.
