ON Monday– International Women’s Day– World Archery Americas’ (WAA) Gender Equity Committee commemorated that important date by launching their Logo Competition.

They welcome participation from all the men, women, boys and girls in the Americas. Whether you are an NOC Member, an association executive, a judge, coach, athlete, school child, a general member of the public, this Competition is for you.

The panel will be looking at a Logo for the WAA Gender Equity Committee that will encompass promoting Archery as a sport for everyone: men and women in the Americas. As such, your Logo design should express equity, archery, inclusion, and the Americas all together under one depiction.

For a winning effort, bragging rights are of course up for grabs for what will become a familiar Logo used across the Americas and also an offer of a monetary prize of US$100.

Entries can be sent to email: genderequitywaa@gmail.com on or before the deadline for submission which is May 21, 2021, which, coincidentally, will be World Day for Cultural Diversity. Designs must be submitted in .jpg or .png format with a minimum of 1500 px.

The inaugural five-member WAA Gender Equity Committee was formed in January 2021 with Guyanese, Vidushi Persaud-McKinnon, being appointed the Chair, to deal with gender-equity matters in the continent.
