THE S. Jagmohan Hardware and Construction Services (SJHCS) Company, assured of their social responsibilities, officially launched the S. Jagmohan Hardware and Construction Golf Tournament yesterday at the company’s office located in Campbellville.
The tournament, which is organised by the Lusignan Golf Club (LGC), is scheduled for tomorrow at the Lusignan Golf Course under strict COVID-19 guidelines and tees off at 12:00hrs (noon). This will be the Club’s third golf tournament of the year operating under the pandemic parameters.
Yesterday’s simple ceremony included representatives of the sponsor who pledged their continued support to the sport in the presence of the executives of the LGC.
Project Coordinator of the company, Vidya Mangalram, stated that they are elated to honour some aspects of their core social responsibilities, stating that they were ecstatic to present the cheque to support the tournament.
President of LGC, Patanjilee Persaud, was grateful for the backing of the sponsors and noted that all COVID-19 precautionary measures will be in place for the tournament. He also added that special prizes will also be up for grabs.

Upon receiving the sponsorship cheque, the Club’s Public Relations Officer (PRO), Anasha Ally, said, “As a representative of the Lusignan Golf Club I am very happy to be the recipient of this cheque, to what promises to be a grand tournament on Saturday (tomorrow). We look forward to the participation of many of our members and other golfers and the presence of this esteemed company.”
SJHCS has been in operation for over 20 years and has now grown to become one of the largest construction companies in Guyana. The company continues to expand and diversify its investments and while focussing primarily on infrastructure projects SJHCS has ventured into sawmilling and potable water wells construction.
With growing investments in infrastructural projects in Guyana and the increased demand for asphalt, the company is currently constructing a concrete lant and its second asphaltic concrete plant.
