THE final of the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) Inter-county Under-19 One Day tournament is billed for today between Demerara and Berbice at the LBI ground from 09:30hrs.
Both teams recorded contrasting wins over Essequibo, and are full of confidence, so there are no clear favourites.
Speaking with Demerara captain on the eve of the game, Andre Samaroo expressed confidence of winning the title.
“Samaroo said while the team is excited, they are also focussed on the job at hand. “We are really looking for the challenge … we know it will be no easy game, so we are focussed on winning,” he said.
Meanwhile, coach of the Berbice unit, Winston Smith, said once his team execute their plans, there is no reason why they cannot come out victorious.
“The team that play the most consistent cricket on the day always win, so we have to look at being consistent,” Smith expressed
