ALVIN Jones, popularly known as ‘Hot Skull’, is nursing several stab wounds about his body after he was attacked at the Lusignan Prison on the East Coast of Demerara on Monday.

The Guyana Chronicle understands that Jones was attacked after he touched the buttocks of another inmate. He is currently a patient at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC).

Reports indicated that Jones touched the buttocks of the prisoner on Sunday and, subsequently, other inmates taunted the prisoner, who became angry and launched the attack on Jones on Monday.
The inmate has since been placed in solitary confinement at the Lusignan prison and the matter was reported to the police.

In December last year, Jones was sentenced to 43 and a half years’ imprisonment for the murder, in February 2017, of amateur footballer, Paul Daniels.
