SENIOR Superintendent Khali Pareshram will take up his new role as Commander of Regional Division 4 ‘A’, effective today, replacing Assistant Commissioner Simon McBean, who is proceeding on his annual leave.

Former Head of Special Branch, Mahendra Siwnarine will now take up command of Regional Division 4 ‘C’, which stretches from Industry to Mahaica on the East Coast of Demerara, replacing Pareshram.

Pareshram joined the Guyana Police Force on May 3, 1999, and during his career, he has performed at the highest level in various departments and branches, such as regional divisions (Two, Three, Five, Six and 10); the narcotics branch; the special anti-crime task force, and as security officer at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport before rising to the position of commander.

He is the holder of a Diploma in Public Safety and Security Management, Police Development and Professionalism, as well as a Diploma and Degree in Public Management, and a Master’s in Public Administration.
