A shooting incident, which occurred on Saturday night in an alleyway at Guyhoc Park squatting area, in Georgetown, has resulted in the death of 28-year-old Shawn Robinson. Police Headquarters, in a statement, noted that the incident occurred around 18:36hrs; Robinson is said to be unemployed and resided in the same community, Police said an anonymous caller contacted the East La Penitence Police Station about 18:50hrs and reported that there was a shooting in an alleyway and that the victim left for the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC). A party of policemen then went to the GPHC to interview the victim but, at the time, he was seeking medical attention for a gunshot injury to the left side chest. Police had said Robinson’s condition was regarded as serious. He subsequently succumbed to his injuries on Sunday. Investigations are still ongoing.
