THE Guyana Police Force’s Fallen Heroes Foundation Inc. on Friday held a donation ceremony to assist the children of those members of the Force who would have lost their lives in the line of duty.

The ceremony was held at the Police Officers’ Mess Annex, at Eve Leary, and was attended by Commissioner of Police (ag), Nigel Hoppie; Chairman of the Fallen Heroes Foundation, Bishop Raphael Massiah; Force Chaplin, Rev. Patrick Doolichand; Secretary Rev. Winston Assanah, and representatives Messrs Victor Grimmond and Derrick Anderson.

Bishop Massiah, in brief remarks stated that he was honoured to be giving the donations to the awardees, commended their hard work, and advised them to always aim high.
He also pointed out the importance of the Foundation since it was established.

The Commissioner, who handed out the donations to the families, noted the importance of the Guyana Police Force’s involvement in the lives of the children, and implored those who attended the ceremony to always be disciplined.
