-Young entrepreneur looking to expand hand-painted clothing line

Art by definition is described as the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination. It is typically expressed in a visual form such as painting or sculpture, however for Shamar Hutson, he expresses his art through his love for fashion and painting.
Hutson who is an entrepreneur, is the owner of his very own footwear store ‘Street King Designz’ where he designs and customises shoes with striking and colourful, eye-catching designs.
“Well I basically customise shoes, like if you have old shoes and you want it in a specific design or colour. That is basically what I do,” he told the Buzz.
The young artist noted that he started out painting on regular canvases but he wanted to experiment with his talent and he decided to merge his love for painting and fashion.
The 25-year-old said that he first began drawing and painting on his own shoes.
He stated that soon after he shared his work on his social media platforms his friends and a few persons from the general public started to inquire about having their shoes customised.
Hutson stated that after a few encouraging words, he decided to revert his craft into a business.

“I use to do it for myself and I post and then a lot people start pushing me and telling me I should start doing this as a business and that’s when I started taking it serious,” he said.
Hutson noted that he has been in business for roughly six years and is now looking to expand his brand. He stated that he is currently working on launching a full clothing line.
“I’m looking to do everything from t-shirts, sweat pants, hats, everything in fashion,” he said.
Additionally he noted that he is also looking to one day have his own footwear line.
Hutson said that his aim is to create a household name for himself like some of the world-renowned brands like Nike.
However, the young man noted that his big plans have been placed on a slight due the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic; nevertheless, he is confident that when Guyana and the rest of the world return to some normalcy business will thrive and he will be able to expand and continue to do what he loves.
