The IGCSE is a widely recognised English language-based examination, which was developed by the University of Cambridge.
Cambridge University only recently released the revised results of IGCSE and A Levels for more than one million students from 136 countries worldwide.
At School of the Nations, 66 students wrote a total of 407 IGCSE exams in 24 subjects, including six fourth form students who wrote Mathematics. The overall pass rate was 98 per cent, said the university.

In a breakdown of the results, the school said 44 per cent of all exams written by students in fifth form, earned a Distinction, or an A or a B grade.
The school recorded 100 per cent passes in ICT, Business, Accounts, Economics, Global Perspectives, Geography, History, Travel & Tourism, English Literature, English Language, Spanish, Additional Maths, and Environmental Management.

Onsay Grant, a student who achieved five distinctions, one A and three Bs, said she was extremely happy with her results, but said it took hard work and dedication to make it through.

“Much more importantly, these results could never have been achieved without God and prayers, my parents, brothers, teachers, since grade 6 and onward, School of the Nations and their support system and the rest of my family.

“These results have been achieved in a troubling time; therefore, my heart goes out to all the doctors, nurses, healthcare workers and frontline providers who are trying to protect us during the covid-19 pandemic,” said Grant.

The parents of another student, John McGrath, who achieved one distinction, five As and four Bs, congratulated School of Nations, their Board of Directors and teachers for the years of hard work, dedication and discipline provided to the students.
