BREAKING : Teen kills brother in law, injures sister and relatives

Police are investigating an alleged murder committed on Ramdat Singh called Shami, age 55 years, a labourer of Bat Creek, Upper Pomeroon River and formerly of Aberdeen, Essequibo Coast, which occurred on Thursday about 15:00 hours at the said Bat Creek, Upper Pomeroon River.

Information revealed that Singh was attacted by the suspect and stabbed several times about his body after which he fell to the ground.

The teen suspect having stabbed the deceased, then attacted his two sisters and three children and wounded them also, before making good his escape.

One woman and the three children were stabbed about the body, while the other woman’s throat was slashed.

The deceased along with the injured persons were all placed in a boat and rushed to the Charity Hospital where Ramdat Singh was examined by a Doctor on duty and pronounced dead.

The injured persons were all transferred to the Suddie Hospital where two of them were rushed to the theater for emergency surgery, while the other three were all treated by a Doctor and admitted to the Intensive Care Unit in a stable condition.

Investigation in progress. The body of the deceased was escorted to the Suddie Mortuary awaiting post mortem examination.
