Labourer arrested for narcotics Possession.

FORTY EIGHT-year-old Victor Kippins, a labourer of lot 9 Hosannah Street, Rosignol, was charged and found guilty of being in possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking. Kippins who pleaded guilty and was sentenced to four years’ imprisonment had appeared before magistrate R. Singh at Fort Wellington Magistrate’s Court, on July 13.
It was reported that, about 06:45h, police, acting on intelligence gathered, stopped a public transportation vehicle in front of the Fort Wellington Police Station. Kippins, a passenger of the vehicle, was arrested after he was found in possession of one hundred and thirty-nine grams of cannabis.
