…accuses him of not paying them
THREE miners, who allegedly beat and robbed their employer of a quantity of raw gold at Sandhill/Oku Landing, on Friday, have been caught and subsequently confessed to the crime, even saying that the man had not been paying them for work done.
Police, in a release, said that the stolen gold has been recovered and the victim, Adam Da Silva , 62, of Boa Vista, Brazil/Sandhill Landing, who suffered a fractured leg and multiple lacerations about his body, has been admitted at the Bartica Regional Hospital. He is in a stable condition.
The suspects, ages 19, 20 and 23, residents of East Bank Essequibo and Essequibo Coast respectively, told investigators that they committed the act because they were not paid for work done.
