CUSTOMS Anti-Narcotics Unit (CANU) ranks on Saturday, June 14, 2020, arrested a man during a raid at a cannabis farm at St Cuthbert’s Mission (Pakuri), off the Linden Soesdyke Highway.

According to reports, on Saturday, CANU ranks, acting on intelligence gathered, descended on a farm to find a makeshift camp and extensive cultivation of cannabis plants.
The ranks conducted a seizure and eradication exercise on a quantity of cannabis plants along with 15.4 kilograms of dried cannabis plants.

Approximately 1500 plants, which were approximately three feet in height and weighted 275 pounds, were destroyed.

One person was found and arrested at the raid and is in custody.
Investigations are still ongoing.
