–with launch of novel bill-payment company
IN an effort to make life easy for his fellow Lindeners during this COVID-19 pandemic, businessman Dominic Blair has launched a novel bill-payment company, which allows persons to stay at home and still get their bills paid.
The World Access Billing Service works by having staff go to a customer’s home and do the transaction at their doorsteps, in addition to allowing overseas-based relatives to pay their loved ones’ bills, using partnering apps.
Blair said that after realising that many bill payment entities are still plagued by long lines daily, which is defying the purpose of social distancing, he decided to be ingenious. “With the home service, it is more convenient and safer; we come to your homes, and an electronic receipt is immediately sent to the customer’s mobile,” he explained. Bill payments can also be done at his Mackenzie Market office.
While there are similar bill payment services available, the World Access Bill Payment Services allows for a wider reach, offering its service to over 10 entities, including private schools located in Georgetown.
He said that the response has been overwhelming thus far, as persons are trying their best to stay at home during the pandemic. “The response is great; people as far as Lethem are asking us to expand our services. A lot of persons overseas are taking advantage to help their loved ones, and we will soon be expanding to the United Kingdom.”
