VIVAANTA Ayurvedic Spa & Hair Salon is celebrating one year since opening their doors in Guyana and has contributed immensely to promoting and maintaining health and wellness amongst Guyanese, with a wide range of products and treatments to renew the body and mind.

Some of these services include hair treatment, threading, skin care, body treatment, massage therapy, facials, nail care, laser treatment and much more, at their Church Street loocation.

The company was introduced last year into the Guyanese market and the investors, who are originally from India, established a Trinidad-based company – the Aryanveda Ayurvedic Spa and Salon since 2011 and have expanded their services to Guyana.

It was established by Nitin Mehra and his son, Karan Mehra (Owner/Director), with a burning desire to recapture an ancient heritage of Ayurvedic therapies in Guyana.
“We have taken India’s Ayurvedic therapy to Guyana. We introduced a totally new concept of care and cure. Our mission is to go above and beyond industry expectations to provide professional, high quality services and products to everyone within and outside of our community. And to ensure we do everything we can to accommodate the needs of our clients so that they feel as much a part of the Ayurvedic family as we do,” Karan told the Guyana Chronicle.

Vivaanta, he says, combines health, beauty and hair in one for the ultimate experience at one place; stating that the company has created a perfect fusion between age-old therapies and modern spa technology, creating a fusion of Asian, Western and Indian Ayurvedic treatments.

He explained that Ayurveda is one of the world’s oldest holistic ‘whole-body’ healing systems, which was developed more than 3,000 years ago in India. It is based on the belief that health and wellness depend on a delicate balance between the mind, body, and spirit. Its main goal is to promote good health; not fight disease. But treatments may be geared toward specific health problems.

“The reach of Indian Ayurveda is now global; every part of the world is accepting it due to its effectiveness. It is the only science, which talks about absolute health. Ayurveda is different from all other sciences, which has made it so popular,” Karan said.

Over the year operating in Guyana, the company has participated and sponsored Guyanese activities and events like Rotary Events, Carnival, Launch of Keratase, Lusignan Golf Club “and we wish to continue to support the Guyanese culture in any way we can. As we celebrate our one year anniversary in Guyana our Ayurvedic Family would like to thank our loyal customers for their continuous support,” he further added.
